Had they been able to see below the green grass that spread throughout the area, they would have seen a completely-different world entirely. In this world, mere blades of grass were more akin to trees in size and volume and pieces of soil were analogous to rocks and boulders. Average-sized puddles after a day's rain were massive lakes that were near-impossible to cross in a day.
It was the world of the smaller organisms of the planet--a series of ecosystems that man could not witness with casual gazes.
